We need Answers!

Yoo Hoo is there anyone here??? Minerva has looked everywhere, the shop seems to be empty ~

Tiffany peeks in the window giggling at the dilemma  of the missing shop keeper ~

The little witches go into the shop to see if they can stir the pot a bit ~

All of a sudden a big black toothsome wolf bursts in the door! Have no fear Nigel is here.
Nigel wants to know where is Hattie? She was keeping the shop to earn money for a wedding dress and now she has disappeared  Nigel is going to get to the bottom of this!

There is a small cry from the roof top... Is that Hattie? Why is Hattie on the roof?

Stay tuned tomorrow as the story unfolds.

Tiffany, Ella and Minerva McGonagall were made by friend Nicky CC

Nigel and Hattie were made by me for Vulture's Roost, my haunted house.

See you tomorrow for the Spooky drawing and later in the day another post with the new drawing. Thank you to my followers for your kind comments and a Big Welcome to new followers.

Hugs,
Victoria

3 Moons ~ Welcome to the shop

Come on in and step up to the counter.

We offer potions and notions, everything a witch or wizard could need ~

The main display table in the middle of the shop. My daughter gave me this vintage table. I  couldn't resist putting one of my witch books and bat stands on the table.

I am using this shop to display some of the many gifts from mini friends, my favorite mini artist's work and some of my own ~

My friend Julie made this broom holder ~

A dark corner ~

No matter what don't forget to Keep Calm and Carry a Wand ~

A view of the shop inside. I still have a lot to add as I dig stuff out that I put away until I had the perfect place for it. The shell of the shop was an inexpensive kit that had been finished into a Christmas house. The house had some serious problems but I had a vision of what it could be so I gutted the inside and cut out the top floor to form a shelf to display my collection. I only used supplies I already had to finish the shop, the walls inside and out are coated with spackle mixed with paint. The floor is just a pattern I printed out and glued to the floor, everything was then given my aging treatment.
This dollhouse was found in a thrift store that benefits Hospice where my Mother volunteers once a week. My Mother is 82 years old so I will always treasure this little house she found and sent me.

First off I guess you want to know who won the first draw....you will have to wait till the next post later tonight.....Trick or Treat.

Hugs,
Victoria

A Snake Story and a peek at Giveaway Prizes ~

Happy Sunday!
Thank you for all your kind comments and a Big Welcome to new followers ~ Tomorrow is the drawing for my first October giveaway. Today I took a photo of some of the prizes I am offering this month. I think I will do themes such as Owls, Witchy, Dragons etc.  for the drawings so if you don't care for a prize you can wait for the next drawing. I am going to step up the pace on the drawings to a couple a week. Following the prize picture I will tell you a snake story and show a little more of 3 Moons Potion and Notion ~
A sampling of the Giveaway Prizes offered this October ~ Everyone who wins a draw will receive  the main prizes and some extras ~ I will have surprise drawings too so stay tuned to this bat channel ~
Yikes...3 Moons seems to be full of snakes.
I have now come to accept snakes as a good thing on my property as they eat mice and are harmless, at our attitude we have no venomous snakes.
I had to make myself not be startled when I happen on a snake. My cat Tigger used to keep the snakes away from the house but now that he is gone there are a few garter snakes about. Last year I kept seeing the same snake out in the garden so I named him Stanley, I would always look for him when I went to the garden. This spring I saw him right off and was pleased to see he had grown bigger, for the next two months I would see him almost every time I went out. In August I quit seeing Stanley, we had a really hot dry summer so he must have moved down to the creek that runs behind our house. I really miss seeing him and am so proud of myself for overcoming my fear of snakes. Now you know when you see snakes in my work I am thinking of Stanley.

3 Moons is named for my daughter, grandson and myself as we are all born under the sign of Cancer. I am thrilled with the great job  Katie did on designing and making the sign. You will notice there are things in threes throughout the shop. I still have a lot of work to do inside and out, I just wanted to have it ready for October. I will start showing the inside and tell the story of the building which was a gift from my Mother.

Thank you Ara and another peek....

Happy Friday All!
Just popping in for a short one. I want to Thank Ara for our swap, she needed an empty cauldron and I wanted one of her handmade chairs so we decided to do a swap. If you don't know Ara you must visit her blog Addams Family Mini Mansion, where Ara is building a mini Addams Family Mansion.
This is the coffin chair Ara built for my vampire mansion, isn't it just perfect? It looks like it has been around for years. Ember VonAmber the lady of the house loves the new chair, I just hope Vlana her pet plant doesn't try to eat it. Ara's etsy shop is  BentleyHouseProducts if you would like a coffin chair of your own.

Thank you again Ara!

And now for another peek at my secret project...
Not much of a peek.... I will be back with my snake story and more pictures on Sunday or Monday to kick off my October Giveaways.

Hugs,
Victoria

Wizards, Witches and a sneak peek.......

I am back as promised with some pictures of recent projects for my Etsy shop and a little peek at what I have been working on for me. I just don't take the time to work on my own stuff anymore so I have taken the last week to try and finish the mystery project enough to share.

Thank you for all the lovely comments on my last post!

The lastest is a witchy table topped with lots of magical things ~

The table has a towering stack of aged papers that took me 3 days to make, I kept thinking it needed another pile of papers LOL. I made a bat book stand to hold the owl book, I will be offering the bat stands next week in my shop and some spooky books to sit on them ~

The loose papers and book that I made to go with this set ~

A full view of the table ~

A Wizard Study cabinet I made this month ~

This was really fun, I had wanted to make this for a long time. It went to the home of a friend.

This is Wizard Study no. 2 ~ a little like the first, I used a different style of cupboard, the first was a vintage cupboard that is hard to find.

This cupboard had a lot of glitter, I really try to hold back with the glitter but sometimes nothing says magic like glitter.

The inside of the drawer and the removable book ~ This cupboard is sold, maybe I will do another soon :)

Now for a sneak peek at what I have been working on. Don't let the snake scare you, I have a snake story for you  in the near future. I will be back with another post soon and will give you another peek ~

Thank you for all the nice comments on my last post, I read all of my followers blogs and comment when I have time. I have a lot of trouble with comment verification on some of the blogs, after 3  tries I usually give up. I don't know why it is so hard to read the letters on those things LOL.

Hugs,
Victoria

A Commission and Halloween News ~

Greetings friends ~

September is almost gone, fall is in the air. The mornings are cool and the leaves are changing at a fast pace. I am getting ready for my October blog giveaways and weekly posts. I have a new project to show and lots of miniatures to giveaway so stay tuned.

I would like to share a commission made in August. my customer wanted a potion cupboard to dress herself and hold her collection of potions. We decided a 1/6 scale would be perfect for her needs as it was to sit on a shelf. I scoured the net for the perfect cupboard and came up dry, I remembered a cupboard my daughter had given me about 5 years ago. It took out the drawer in the bottom and made a shelf, I was excited as my customer wanted a purple cupboard...I love purple as you know :) Enough chatter, here are the pictures.

1/6 scale purple cupboard ~ I love how it turned out.

The cupboard is made of plastic and was intended for Barbie ~ I have seen these referred to as Suzy Goose cupboards ~ Not a fan of plastic but this really turned out cool. You know I had a blast embellishing the cupboard with mostly vintage findings and the paint job...well I can get lost in paint :)

This is where the drawer was, I lined the drawer opening to make the shelf ~

The finished cupboard ~

Stay tuned for weekly giveaways in October, starting one week from today. I will be back with a Wizard's cupboard or 2 to share this week.

Hugs,
Victoria

A Wizard's Study ~

A Happy September to all!  A Big Welcome to new followers and Thank you to my long time followers for your kind comments and emails.

Fall is my favorite time of year. The cool evenings, chilly mornings and the foliage changing color.
I would like to share my latest little cupboard. I bought this cupboard with the Wizard's study in mind, I thought it was perfect with the shelves, desk, drawer and bottom cupboard.
A Wizard's Study ~

This cupboard holds many little surprises, potions, papers, a desk, books, scrolls, and magic!

The study has a potion cabinet packed with potions, a crystal ball and unicorn horns ~

Cupboard can be displayed open or closed for when your Wizard is away ~

The pull down desk top holds an open dragon book, in the cubbyhole are papers, scrolls, a book and an inkwell ~

The top holds magical potions, a real crystal ball, a unicorn horn and vintage jewels ~

The bottom cupboard holds potions, scrolls, 3 removable books and a unicorn horn ~

An open dragon book and a drawer filled with magic ~

A Wizards Study measures 6 1/8 inches tall, 3 3/4 inches wide and 1 14 inches deep ~ I will be listing it in my shop Dark Squirrel this afternoon ~

I will be back with some personal projects this weekend.

Mini Hugs,
Victoria
