My First Dollhouse...a trip down memory lane.

Not being able to do much the last 3 weeks got me thinking about my first dollhouse, I remembered seeing a picture of it but didn't know if I had the picture, I did :) This is 1959 on my fourth birthday. I remember the metal house full of plastic furniture, it was mostly blue and cream colored. I don't think I had any dolls that fit in the house. I do wish I had pictures of the inside but can't find any.

When looking for pictures I also found this one, I think this is Christmas 1958 at my Grandmother's house.  I had to laugh when I saw this....the unicorn that started it all :)

That's all for today. Don't forget to enter my giveaway on this 300 Follower Giveaway post.

I will be back tomorrow or maybe tonight with a picture of the books and other goodies that will be drawn for in the giveaway.

Hugs,
Victoria

  3. Such sweet memories... and a very lovely unicorn! ;O) I was just thinking we're in a way luckier these days having digital photography - it makes it much easier to take many, many pictures. But on the other hand, these two you've shown us are real treasures!

    Greetings

Betsy, I never would have guessed LOL. Good year indeed. You are so lucky to have The Lovely Old House, I wanted a wood doll house all my childhood.

  8. We're the same age!! :D
Love the dollhouse, but the camp stretcher bed brings back memories, mainly of jamming my fingers in it, and the noise every time you move in it!
Thanks for posting these pics :)

  9. :D Awesome! Sadly, I have no photos of my childhood dollhouse in its original state...only the revamp pics I took when I remodeled it for my young cousin in 2009.

  12. I love taking trips down Memory Lane, I know how you feel about your first doll house. Mine was metal with plastic furniture I remember when I first saw the Wizard of Oz on TV I used to play that my Doll house was Dorothys and I landed in Oz.

I was one weird kid...still (weird) but not a kid anymore.

    Love
    Marisa :)

  16. I have that house! It was my mom's when she was a child.
There was also a version with a red roof that didn't have an opening front door. Both have the same interior. Hubby got me one for our anniversary several years ago.

Your photos are so adorable. Thanks for sharing your memories.
