When looking for pictures I also found this one, I think this is Christmas 1958 at my Grandmother's house. I had to laugh when I saw this....the unicorn that started it all :) That's all for today. Don't forget to enter my giveaway on this 300 Follower Giveaway post. I will be back tomorrow or maybe tonight with a picture of the books and other goodies that will be drawn for in the giveaway. Cute pictures :) Love the unicorn : D I have now discovered that you are just a year older than me. I thought you were a lot younger somehow lol

LOL Maria. People always assume I am younger because I do Fantasy miniatures.

Victoria
Such sweet memories... and a very lovely unicorn! ;O) I was just thinking we're in a way luckier these days having digital photography - it makes it much easier to take many, many pictures. But on the other hand, these two you've shown us are real treasures!

Hee Hee, Victoria, I did the math... we are the Same year! Good Vintage! (1959 is the year The Lovely Old Dollhouse was built!)
ReplyDeleteThat is a very sweet picture!
Thank you Birgit!
ReplyDeleteBetsy, I never would have guessed LOL. Good year indeed. You are so lucky to have The Lovely Old House, I wanted a wood doll house all my childhood.
What a fun couple of photos! You were a cute kid!!! hugs, ara
ReplyDeleteI love looking through classic photos. It's so cool that that's you. :) You had some awesome toys as a kid.
ReplyDeleteWe're the same age!! :D
ReplyDeleteLove the dollhouse, but the camp stretcher bed brings back memories, mainly of jamming my fingers in it, and the noise every time you move in it!
Thanks for posting these pics :)
:D Awesome! Sadly, I have no photos of my childhood dollhouse in its original state...only the revamp pics I took when I remodeled it for my young cousin in 2009.
ReplyDeleteI love these pictures V :). Thank you for bringing us down your memory lane , I have enjoyed the trip :).
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely post! It was nice to learn more about you!
ReplyDeleteI love taking trips down Memory Lane, I know how you feel about your first doll house. Mine was metal with plastic furniture I remember when I first saw the Wizard of Oz on TV I used to play that my Doll house was Dorothys and I landed in Oz.
ReplyDeleteI was one weird kid...still (weird) but not a kid anymore.
Love
Marisa :)
Hello Victoria,
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful memories. The pictures are such a beautiful souvenir. I'm glad you never grew out of your dollhouse phase!
Have a great day,
giac

Great nostalgic pictures! I am also from the fifties and recognize the toys like the dollhouse and the doll ;)! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteGreetings, Ilona
I have that house! It was my mom's when she was a child.
ReplyDeleteThere was also a version with a red roof that didn't have an opening front door. Both have the same interior. Hubby got me one for our anniversary several years ago.
Your photos are so adorable. Thanks for sharing your memories.
How wonderful that you actually have a photo of you with your original dollhouse! And such a sweet photo too! Thanks for sharing this--it's fantastic! Jennifer
