Vulture's Roost...Visitors

When we last met Marie was awaiting Cousin Carlanne's visit ~ Marie is relaxing in the parlor waiting for Carlanne's arrival ~ She arrived on the 3 o'clock train so it won't be long now ~

Nigel is busy cleaning the dragon room and thinking about the disaster up in the attic bedroom ~ I guess I will head up there soon before the snakes come down here and bother the baby dragons ~

The bedroom is crawling with big snakes who are after the rats ~ Aunt Agnes watches silently from her frame ~ Aunt Agnes is the worlds oldest living witch, all that is left of her is her head ~ she hasn't spoken a word in hundreds of years, she just silently watches over Vulture's Roost ~

There is someone at the door ~ a small witch and her beautiful hound ~

Marie welcomes Cousin Carlanne and her trusty hound Shadow ~ Carlanne is a very good witch who always travels with her Book of Shadows ~

Marie and Carlanne relax and catch up on all the news in the cool darkness of the Vulture Terrace ~  They enjoy a cup of tea and delicious cookies that neighbor Tabitha has sent over ~ They hear pounding from below, what could cause such a disturbance ~ the sound is worst than nails on a chalkboard, a feeling of doom and darkness can be felt in the air ~

Who is pounding on the door, could it be Avon calling?

She is singing "I'm so pretty, I'm so pretty" and about to pound the door off the hinges ~

Lucas and Theodore look down with dread at the witch who is pounding and singing at the door   ~

That is all for now, next time we will see who is at the door ~

I have based my characters of Vulture's Roost on real people , some living and some dead. People who have made an impression on me with their kindness, generosity and friendship ~ Shadow, Carlanne's hound is a prized possession of mine. He belonged to an old man who received a pair of dogs, one white and one black as a gift in 1934. He wrote on the belly of the white dog the year and his name, I bought a number of his possessions at an estate sale in 1989  ~

None of the people in this story are real ~
People are never real except after midnight ~

  1. I love the amount of character you manage to put into your dolls, but isn't it a bit unfair that Marie and Carlanne sit down to relax while poor old Nigel is stuck with the housework? I can't wait to find out who the new mystery arrival is!

  2. Thank you Alennka. Nigel is happier working than sitting as there is much to do. Marie is old and Carlanne has traveled thousands of miles from the UK to be with Marie.

  3. love it love it love it!!! lol cant wait to find out who the new visitor is!!! :D Linda x

  4. Storytelling par excellence!!
Aunt Agatha - does she get lonely? How did Nigel get so domesticated? Are the baby dragons toilet-trained? What sort of tea do Marie and Carlanne drink? And whooooo is at the door??
    Lovin it!! lol

  5. Woohoo Carlanne is here, shes has a crazed look about her! , love her! Another visitor who could this one be?!! Aunt Agnes is fab too! Love seeing your story Victoria, hope those 2 are behaving, and that the dog is safe with Nigel???!!! Kate xxx

  6. Thank you Linda!

Glenda, Aunt Agnes would just like to sleep but people won't be quiet. Nigel was reared by a wise old she-wolf when his mother was killed in the Great Werewolf Wars of old. The babies are not toilet trained yet but will be soon. Marie and Carlanne are drinking Clairvoyance Brew which contains rose petals, cinnamon, nutmeg, bay and mugwort.

Kate, Carlanne is not crazed just concentrates real hard. Nigel is safe with Shadow, they are old friends, older than time.

  7. ohh I can't wait until the next part of the story this is a wonderful soap opera :)

  8. Great story Victoria! Can't wait for more!!!:D

  9. Vctoria me encanta esta especie de novela por capitulos con nuevos y fantasticos personajes en cada uno de ellos.
    Estoy deseando ver el nuevo.
    besitos ascension

  10. The suspense is killing me now... go on, tell me the next chapter!!! You're creating the most wonderful story about Vulture's Roost, you have so many stunning ideas - the sweeping werewolf, the rat-hunting snakes, Aunt Agnes... who knows, maybe she will talk again some day - ah, I can't wait to see and hear more. And who knows - maybe there'll be a post about toilet-training the baby dragons some day (LOL). But first let's hear about that very self-confident visitor... ;O)

  11. haha loved the story i cant wait for next instalment either, brilliant x

  12. OOOHH, Victoria! I LOVE Carlanne! Shadow is just Gorgeous! (I have a weakness for big dogs.... I don't have one right now... but I hope there is another one in my future some day...!)
As for the Trouble at the door.... this CAN'T be good! I can just see her Wicked Witch of the West style...... my pretties.... ooohh better watch out!
You have been busy and it is So much FUN!

  13. I don't know who terrifies me the mostest...Cousin Carlanne, the snakes...or that erm hmmm the ugly thing at the door! I'm rather glad I don't live next door! lol ;o)

Cousin Carlanne does have a crazed look about her, Kate is correct! What has she eaten lately? The popping out-eyes can't be a good sign of anything good? ;oP

    I await the next installment!

    Michelle xxx

  14. Vic, do you know Aunt Agnes actually gave me the chills ? She's so scary!

I love how the story is evolving. It's like this house and with a new chapter, you add a little something more to the house :).
