WIP Haunted House...Vultures Roost

I would like to Thank everyone for your name suggestions, although I picked the name Daydreamer picked the perfect address for the house. The house will be located at No. 13 Dead End Drive, Daydreamer please contact me.

I have decided to call the house Vultures Roost. I am planning to have a vulture garden on the roof. I need to glue down the gingerbread and widows walk on the roof next. I am still deciding on the flooring and walls in the attic. I want to add a wall to make 2 rooms. One, the smallest will be where the vampires sleep. They will have little coffins made into beds. The larger room will be a dorm type room for the witches. This could all change but at this time thats the plan, a girl always needs a plan.

My next challenge is a fireplace for the kitchen and where to put it. I am torn between under the back window which would look dumb unless I cover the window or to put it under the stairs. I want a fireplace for the witches to cook in and not have a stove. Suggestions Welcome.

Well that is all for now...
Victoria ♥

  1. Hi Victoria, absolutely love your house. Would you mind if I asked where you purchased your widow's walk railings and window fretwork. They are exactly the type of thing I am looking for at the moment and am having no joy at all in the UK.

Vulture's Roost, great name too. Can't wait to see what you do with the inside.

  4. Oh WOW, Victoria! I guess I'm on a roll with names lately! I'll email you right away! :):)
As for your fireplace dilemma, I think the fireplace should go under the stairs... you could even make the whole wall extend to the edge of the room, with the doorway a deep tunnel through it and the fireplace tucked into it's own nook.... if you see what I mean. You could add chimney pots at the top of the roof to make it look realistic..... I love this house.... it's really looking great!

  14. I love this house, gosh so much to admire and love! :o)) I love all the detailing that you have added too and the railings are wonderful. I gatehr you have let Janice know where to buy it, I know of sources in the UK.

I think the oven needs to go under the stairs, hmmmm can you not turn that area into some kind of inglenook and therefore add a brick back/sides or rough/aged stone look? :o))
