WIP Haunted House Tuesday

Thank you everyone for your suggestions for a name, keep them coming. If I choose your name suggestion I will send you some potion bottles.

Today I finished the front door and shingles. The door has skulls, a lion door knocker and a knob I made from beads. I had been saving the door knocker for when I built my castle but after 8 years I don't see me building it LOL. I also put up some of the gingerbread trim and still need to put the finish on it. I cut a piece of foam board to set the house on but might change it to wood, I just want it to be light so I can move it easily. Here are my photos from today, any helpful hints are welcome.

  3. I love the skulls on the front door and the detail on the shutters. You use jewelry findings in such creative ways. What are you intending for the mansard? Shingles? or leave it? I do think it needs a little something. Don't these kits come with wood shakes? Looking very nice!

  8. Thanks everyone!

Susan I want to put copper on the mansard but am unsure of how it would look. My shingle jobs always suck so no shingles. Great names tonight, it might be hard to choose.

  12. Hi Victoria,

I'm really glad I've found your blog - I'm a follower now and happy not to miss your newest posts, especially the progress on this fantastic spooky mansion. Well, I don't dare to make any name suggestions, I'll leave that up to the native speakers, but whatever it's name will be, that house is gorgeous already. Great job!

Best wishes for 2011 and greetings from Germany
