My Doll's House

I have been promising pictures so here they are... first is the kitchen with Hop Sing (Bonanza was a fav. as a child) and Aura. I collect these old chinese dolls and mini DOD dolls. I built this house long before I started dark art so it is dull and plain, I think that's why I don't like it. I am going to do a makeover on it some winter. Next on the bottom floor is the dining room. I made all the food in my attempts at fimo food. I recovered the seat cushions in zebra silk and crafted all the pictures in the room. The floor is marble tiles which I still like so thats one good thing. I do like front opening houses, it really cuts down on dust. Tomorrow I will show 2 more of the rooms. Thank you for your wonderful comments everyone!!!

  3. Dear Victoria, your dollhouse is hardly plain and dull. Those Chinese dolls brought me smiles. They are lovely! I think your dollhouse is full of character! :)

  5. Thank you Sans! I don't like the wires hanging on the ceilings, decided to add lights after house was done. This was when I thought everything had to be magazine perfect so to me this house belongs to an idea not me.

  8. I like it Victoria, but I'm strange so take what you will from that. I can't wait to see what personal touches you'd put into it now.

  9. OMG Ara! I love your Addams Family blog, I can't wait to see what you have done. My daughter April did a Addams Family House 6 years ago, she displayed it at the library last Oct. and emptied it. I will see if I can find some pictures of it for you. Thank you for joining my blog.

  10. I cant wait to see the makeover too! I would think the outside would be fairly easy to redo to make it your new style, as its fairly plain. I love to do makeovers on houses, rip out the paper and start again! Always tricky but very rewarding! Kate xxx

  11. Marisa I promise I will fill it with strangeness. I haven't done any personal work in a couple of years, I feel compelled to sell my work because it pays for the special dog food I choose to feed Annie. Our last German Shepherd had stomach problems from the food we fed her, she lived 13 years which is good but would have felt better w/o the pain.

  12. Yes Kate I agree, I have always hated the outside with the brick paper.I took these pictures last Nov. to show a mini friend in St. Louis, I have since dismantled the flower bed. I have built 5 houses and usually give them away, not an option now with not working anymore. i think it will be a fun challenge.

  13. Tienes una maravillosa casa. Me ha gustado mucho la fachada con ladrillos. El suelo de la cocina y tanto detalle, todo a las vista en estantes. Y el comedor perfecto tambien con muchos etalles. Enhorabuena por esta casa.
    Besos Clara.
